'The Molly Project'
Protective Padded Hats for 'Special Needs' Animals
~ Custom order by request only ~
If you have a special needs furkid, send us an email if interested.

MISSION PAWSABLE created specially padded hats that were INSPIRED by a very SPECIAL Maltese furbaby named  --  you guessed it  --  MOLLY.  I met Molly's human Mom, Gail West Zeolla via Facebook about the middle of September 2010 connected by a profile photo that she saw of Maxie, my Maltese. We share the same passion in animals and we both love and have Maltese furbabies! I watched videos of Molly as she played and explored in her 'little world of comforters and padded pillows' (Gail's living room) and discovered that she has cognitive problems and is blind.
The video clips of Molly playing with her daddy, Tony Zeolla, are so precious!  You would not think Molly is blind by all the energy she exudes and the way she jumps around in her little 'padded world.'  Molly is such a special little girl and has been a great blessing to Gail and her family.  This little girl will definitely steal your heart!

This is MOLLY, an adorable one-year old blind female Maltese wearing a red padded (prototype) hat and one similar to the one Cody is wearing below.

Meet CODY, a very sweet 3-year old male Silky Terrier who was rescued by Retro Doggy Rescue and initially fostered by Olga Vojnovic-Fireman. Cody has severe congenital hydrocephalus, otherwise known as having "water on the brain." Olga worked with Cody who had several issues before being fostered by Gail and Tony Zeolla.  Cody has come a long way and was not even with the Zeolla family for two months when they decided to make Cody an official family member.

Cody is modeling a padded hat to protect his head and matching vest.  Cody is doing so well in his 'forever home' with his new human mom and dad and gets along well with his new canine brother Chance, and sister Molly (shown above in the top photo).

FOSTERS DESPERATELY NEEDED!
Special Animals with 'Special Needs'

'Special Needs' animals are always looking for wonderful and loving caregivers who understand their needs.  Blind or nearly blind dogs, dogs with loss of mobility or missing limbs, or other physical defects that require special care and constant assistance fall under this category.  Some animals with disabilities are not immediately visual, and can only be determined after running various tests such as having hydrocephalus, being deaf, dogs with Cushing’s disease, tumors, failing kidneys, etc.  I consider animals that require daily medication to keep their medical condition under control – also a ‘special needs’ animal.  These precious animals are not ‘throw-a-ways’ and should not be deemed as defective or imperfect.  Animals are so amazing and can teach us humans much about overcoming adversity. Caring for them will completely change your life!

It takes a very special person to care for animals with 'special needs.'  It requires someone who has lots of love, a strong devotion of commitment and a safe home environment that can accommodate a precious animal with 'special needs.’

Do you have what it takes to care for one of these precious 'special needs' animals?

If you cannot adopt or foster, there are several other ways that you can help.  Consider donating monetarily (if you can) towards their medical expenses, donate goods or services, or volunteer your time at a local shelter.  Believe me -- having dogs in your life will totally change you!

ADOPT or FOSTER -- DON'T SHOP!
